There is a very important variety of means of travel in this city. The most economical way, of course, is to walk.

I walked a lot, but the city is big, and sometimes to save time, but also to experiment, it is interesting to move differently. The second most economical way is finally the taxi. We go quite fast and the price/kilometre ratio is excellent.

But you can also move by tuktuk. It’s more fun than the taxi and more expensive, but not very suitable for large sizes. We have our heads touching the ceiling and we can’t see anything.

There are other choices:

  • The bus
  • The 2 subways, the BTS or Skytrain, which is the air metro, with lines from north to south, and the MRT, the underground metro.

The 2 are very modern and are efficient and pleasant means of travel, especially because they are air-conditioned. This is also the case with taxis.

Note that in the 2 subways, you pay according to the station in which you want to get off. Impossible to change your mind on the way.

There are also motorcycle taxis, very effective. It is the fastest means of travel, but you must have a well-hung heart. It sometimes passes well between the cars.

Finally, there is a line of boats that takes the river, with regular stops such as a bus. We can go up the city from the south to the north, and the other way around of course, on the west side of Bangkok
